  This cottage gourd birdhouse is another of our "who's knocking on my door" collection. With summer coming I remembered our Australian shepherd, Rusty, who liked Bbqs. Our neighbor in the back went in to get his plate...all ready to bite into that juicy steak . When he got back the steak was gone. Yup, Rusty liked his medium rare too. I painted in hot dogs...he liked those too. Our handpainted birdhouse gourd measuring 9 1/2" tall (not including stem) x 7 1/2" wide across bottom with a 1 3/8" opening will be a delight for your outdoor friends. 3 coats of acrylic ext sealer has been applied but best to keep under a patio or porch during inclement weather for longevity.l
