  Our raccoon gourd bowl. Our innocent "looking" raccoon sits amongst maple leaves. Gourds measurements are 6" tall (not including stem) by 7" across. The gourd characters have been woodburned and ink dyes of garnet (reddish) ink dye applied to the background while black saddle, white and yellow dyes have also been incorporated. The entire gourd has been sealed with 3 coats of satin sealer. The inside of the bowl has been cleaned and sanded. No sealer has been used the inside of our bowl.. it has been kept natural so not to worry about any chemicals. Because it is porous do not use it for any liquid storage.. Makes a great jewelry box, place for your special keepsake items or just a place to put your keys.
